SUPCON Group Co, Ltd. made donation of 10.3 million RMB to Zhejiang University Education Foundation

On February 28, 2011, SUPCON Group Co., Ltd. donated 10.3 million RMB to Zhejiang University Education Foundation.  The donation ceremony was held in Shao Yifu Science Hall of Yuquan Campus.

On behalf of Zhejiang University, Chancellor ZHANG Xi showed sincere gratitude to SUPCON. SUPCON donated 10.3 million RMB to Zhejiang University Education Foundation to benefit teachers who suffer from financial difficulties due to illnesses. Fund will also be set up to support students to carry out scientific training and research in frontier technology. Chancellor ZHANG Xi showed that SUPCON has been sticking to the sense of responsibility and mission of feeding back society and alma mater. This donation is the best support to Zhejiang University in the beginning year of Twelfth ‘Five-Year Plan’ and the crucial period of the revolution and development of Zhejiang University. This donation displayed to the full SUPCON’s love and gratitude to Zhejiang University and explained vividly the core values of ‘Seek Truth and Be Creative’, which will encourage the teachers and students to serve the country and society.

On behalf of SUPCON Group, President JIN Jianxiang donated 10.3 million RMB to Zhejiang University Education Foundation. Chancellor ZHANG Xi accepted this donation standing for Zhejiang University and presented a donation certificate and plaque to president JIN Jianxiang.

In his speech, President JIN Jianxiang said that most managers and team of SUPCON are alumnus of Zhejiang University and alma mater has been supporting the development of SUPCON. As alumnus, they always keep deep affections for their alma mater. The purpose of this donation is to feed back alma mater and to carry forward the tradition of showing respect for teachers and attaching great importance of education. President Jin hopes that this donation can help Zhejiang University to become World-Class University as soon as possible.

The delegate of students from Control Department showed sincere gratitude to SUPCON and determined to study hard and to feed back alma mater and society in the future.
