Prof. MENG Wenchao invited as Associate Editor of IEEE TSG
Professor MENG Wenchao recently became an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid (TSG), invited by Professor Claudio Cañizares, the Editor-in-Chief. MENG Wenchao is a professor in the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. He obtained his Ph.D degree from Zhejiang University in 2015. From 2013 to 2014, he was a visiting student in Arizona State University and from 2015 to 2019, he was a Postdoctoral fellow in Carleton University, Canada. Prof. Meng has published more than 30 papers in top-tier conferences and journals including IEEE CDC, ACC, Automatica, IEEE Trans. Power System, IEEE Trans. Smart Grid, IEEE Trans. Industrial Electronics, IEEE Trans. Cybernetics, IEEE Trans. Neural Networks and Learning Systems and etc. He has received I-SPAN 2018 best paper award. He is now serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. Recently, Professor YANG Qinmin was invited as an Associate Editor to serve two IEEE Transactions -- IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems.YANG Qinmin is a professor in the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. His recent research interests are based on a balance between control theory and applications.Prof. Yang obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, he was a system engineer in Caterpillar Inc. and from 2009 to 2010, he was a Research Fellow in University of Connecticut. He received the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Award of Zhejiang Province in 2017. He also received IEEE ICMIC 2017 Best Application Paper and IEEE YAC 2018 Best Application Paper awards. CSE Professor CHEN Jiming together with Professor Goran Strbac of Imperial College London have been awarded a Newton Fellowhship, with the project "Demand Side Response Management Research based on Information and Communication Technology in Smart Grid".Newton Advanced Fellowships are offered by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), in partnership with the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences of UK, to provide established early to mid-career Chinese researchers with an opportunity to develop the research strengths and capabilities of their research group through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with their partners in the UK. After a public call this year, the Chinese and the British sides received a total of 118 applications, and 25 applications were awarded finally based on the review of international experts.
