The annual Team Competition of ZJU Staff Badminton Championship started at Yuquan Campus on November 21, 2020. 4 CSE scientists listed as “Highly Cited Researchers 2020”

4 Scientists from the College of Control Science and Engineering, SU Hongye, WU Zhengguang, CHEN Jiming, and CHU Jian, are listed as the “Highly Cited Researchers 2020” by Clarivate Analytics. The Scientists are listed in respective categories of Computer Science, Cross-Field and Enginneering, and SU Hongye and WU Zhengguang are listed in both Computer Science and Engineering. Clarivate Analytics unveiled its Highly Cited Researchers 2020 List on Nov 18, 2020, recognizing 6,167 scholars from more than 60 countries / regions. Zhejiang University has 25 scientists listed, ranking 3rd in mainland China.The highly anticipated annual list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. CSE Late Autumn Hiking -- walking through chrysanthemum blossoms

As the 2020 Chrysanthemum Exhibition opened next to the Yuquan Campus in Hangzhou Botanical Garden, on November, 13 ,2020 the CSE Labor Union organized a late autumn hiking for faculties to enjoy the blossoms.Setting out at 1 pm, the faculties walked in the warm sunshine and enjoyed their time together. The 2020 ZJU Staff Light Volleyball Competition took place on November 7-8, 2020. Approximately 400 plays from 31 teams joined the competition. Led by Professor LIANG Jun, the team of the College of Control Science and Engineering had a great performance in the competition. CSE Early Autumn Hiking -- to embrace the season of mellow fruitfulness

With the sweet fragrance of osmanthus flowers all around, it’s finally the time to say goodbye to the hot summer and embrace the season of maturing sun and mellow fruitfulness. This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival happens to be the same date with the Chinese National Day (October 1), making the coming October a double blessing. To welcome this special season, the CSE Labor Union organized an early autumn hiking.The organizers adopted an online communication mode for the first time. An activity circle was created on DingTalk, in which faculties could interact with each other. Capturing autumn colors: CSE holds photography training session

On September 28, 2020, a photography training session with the theme of “Capturing Autumn Colors” was held in the College of Control Science and Engineering. The invited speaker is Dr. FANG Wei from the College of Optical Science and Engineering, who lectures one the most popular photography courses on campus. Approximately 30 faculty members and students attended the session, including members of the CSE International Communications Team.Dr. Fang carried out the lecture from six aspects: lens and angle of view, aperture and shutter selection, how to correct exposure, composition analysis of a picture, conference photography, as well as mobile photography. Combined with his rich theoretical knowledge and shooting experience, he explained practical photography knowledge in a humorous way, and thus the trainees were able to easily acquire the basic principles, shooting modes and key techniques. Plenty of photographic works, which are vivid and attractive, were shared at the session, backing his theory.After the lecture, participants passionately communicated with Dr. Fang.
