摘要：

In the 80ies, strategies based on relay feedback for automatic PID tuning were developed by Åström and Hägglund in Lund, Sweden. By slight modification of the experiment, and exploiting the resulting data more fully, it is possible to achieve models better suited for synthesis upon which controllers for a broad range of application areas can be automatically obtained. This talk covers the experiment design,identification procedure and robust synthesis method which together make up a versatile new automatic tuner for the extensively employed PID controller.

主讲人简介：

Kristian holds a PhD from Lund University, Dept. Automatic Control. He was previously visiting Caltech where he did his MSc work on autonmous vechicles, and UBC where he worked with a group on automation for anesthesia. Current research interests lie in the intersection of automatic control and medicine, and in automatic tuning solutions for the process industry.
